The Friends of the Yorkville Public Library are planning for the annual Used Book Sale and are accepting donations of gently-used books of all types. This great fundraiser has brought in approximately $69,000 for the Library since the first one in 2009. With your help, The Friends of the Yorkville Public Library can add to this total. Money raised by the sale goes directly to the support the Yorkville Library.
The Used Book Sale will be held during Yorkville Hometown Days, Saturday, Sept. 3 and Sunday, Sept. 4. The sale features books for all ages in hard cover and paperback, as well as DVDs and audio books. All items are priced $.50 – $2.00.
Donations may be brought to the main desk at the Library. Paperbacks, hardcover, and books for adults and children, are all accepted. Audio visual materials, DVDs, CDs, and audio books, are big sellers. Video tapes, text books, and magazines are not accepted for the sale.
The Friends of the Yorkville Library is a volunteer group of individuals focused on supporting and promoting the services and programs of the Yorkville Library. Membership information is available at the Library and on the Library’s home page. The Friends meet the second Monday of each month at 10:15 a.m. at the Library.
