A group of residents from Covenant Living at the Holmstad used their homemaking skills in the community’s Creative Arts Center kitchen to make some holiday treats for Batavia first responders last week. Elsie Ann Cole was one of the Holmstad residents baking treats. The residents baked cookies, made turtle pretzel bites, magic bars, rice Krispie treat, and reindeer chow. All of the goods were boxed up and delivered to two Batavia fire stations and the Batavia police department. This is just one way the residents can share, not only the holiday spirit of giving, but also a way to say thanks to men and women of the police and fire departments who serve and protect residents in the Fox Valley area.
