Young rocketeers line up to launch their water-propelled rockets May 7 at Wesley United Methodist Church in Aurora. Assisting, left, is Thew Elliott, Wesley music and liturgy director. After crafting and decorating paper nose cones, a dozen youth launched rockets handmade from plastic two-liter bottles in the church parking lot. The event capped a 2024-2025 Wednesday Night Gathering series. Featuring a free potluck dinner and family activity, the first and third Wednesday series will resume in September.Al Benson/The Voice
