Rosary High School’s Lianna Surtz poses with coach Vic Mead after she finished in first place in the Illinois High School Association (IHSA) Class 1A girls cross country State championship Saturday, Nov. 6, at Detweiller Park in Peoria. Surtz ran the three-mile course in 17:21.45. She won the State championship in 2019 and no meet was held in 2020 because of COVID-19.
