Rotary Club of Aurora past-president George Ball, left, shares information about the Festival of Lights at the Rotary Club of Aurora meeting Monday at Two Brothers Roundhouse. The Rotary Club of Aurora Festival of Lights is one of the largest free outdoor drive-through holiday lights displays in northern Illinois. The event will return for its 12th year starting the day after Thanksgiving Day through the day after Christmas. Last year approximately 31,000 cars drove through the more than one mile of lighted displays at Phillips Park, 1000 Ray Moses Drive, Aurora. More than $102,000 was raised last year and proceeds were donated to more than 35 organizations. New for this year are five L.E.D. fireworks displays. The Rotary Club of Aurora’s goal is to raise $125,000 this year.
