Residents of Covenant Living at the Holmstad, 700 W. Fabyan Parkway, Batavia, a retirement and assisted living facility, recently handcrafted 20 wooden desks to help students challenged by remote learning.
Volunteers worked with Batavia United Way to find homes for the desks and provide a designated space where kids can complete their schoolwork.
