Sign Language Santa at Luigi’s Pizza and Fun Center in Aurora December 12

A costumed-volunteer Santa Claus, Dan Basalone of Lisle, will use American Sign Language to “talk” Christmas wishes with 50 deaf kids and caregivers from East Aurora and West Aurora public school districts at 6 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 12 at the ninth annual pizza party and gift giveaway at Luigi’s Pizza, 732 Prairie Street, in Aurora.

Each child will receive a gift from Santa. The party and gifts for children are sponsored by the Aurora Noon Lions Club, in partnership with the Sycamore-based Northwestern Illinois Association, a regional special-education cooperative.
