(Slow down)

You don’t always get what you want, but you always want what you don’t get.

You want first place, but you end up getting last.

You want to wear that shirt, no it’s too short,

You want to eat a bag of candy. “No, you’re too fat.”

You take hours to do your make-up for compliments and this is what you get.

“You look better without makeup.” “You’re so fake!”

You want this, you want that, I want, I want, I want.

“You’re new middle name is ‘I want.’ ”

You want to look good, you want to feel confident, You’re constantly comparing yourself to other girls.

You want to look like her, but you look like that.

You want someone to listen, but they never do.

You have acne, get rid of it.

He only makes fun of you because he likes you! Don’t worry.

You want someone to vent to, but vents lead to other rooms.

You have problems? Get over yourself.

Is the reason it’s called softball because girls are soft to you? Because the ball sure isn’t.

“No you can’t like blue, it’s a boy color.”

You want to play football?

“It’s a boys sport, get back in the kitchen”

“Girls can’t game”

“You should be cleaning!”

I’m having a panic attack. I can’t breathe, I can’t hear, my head is spinning, all the flashbacks

are coming back. I’m sorry. “Stop apologizing, it’s annoying.” “Your laugh is so ugly.”

“You’re so skinny I can fit my fingers around your wrist.”

“You’re so smart!”

“You’re so flat!” “You’ll never get a boyfriend.”

“You should be in a pageant, not gaming, you’re too pretty.”

You are this, you are that, you are, you want, I want.

You hurt her heart, you broke her ego. She’s crying in her bed.

“Your grades are so low, why can’t you be more like your sister?”

I’m sorry I’m not good enough for you, I’m sorry I couldn’t live up to your expectations. “If I get

more pretty, do you think he will like me?”

Maybe you’re right. All you said was true.
