Next week, State representative Mark Batinick (R-Plainfield) will be host to a College Financial Aid & FAFSA Workshop in Plainfield. representative Batinick invites constituents from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 25 at the Plainfield Community Center, 15014 S. Des Plaines Street in Plainfield for this event.
“Preparing for college financially helps students and parents take this important new step in an affordable way,” said Batinick. “I’m delighted to be host to this event again to help families with a hands-on tutorial to help give them the tools for this next chapter in their and their children’s lives.”
This event will include a presentation that will cover average college costs, types of financial aid, and how to apply. There will be a free application for federal student aid (FAFSA) completion workshop. Participants are asked to please bring their 2021 federal income tax returns and their laptops. Assistance and information for Spanish-speaking participants will also be available.
