Every year, the Batavia Chamber holds a fall celebration to gather community members together to celebrate one Chamber member that has displayed an outstanding commitment and dedication to the Chamber’s mission, vision, and values. This member is recognized as the annual Donna Dallesasse Award recipient.

Although the length of Jason’s membership is noteworthy, more compelling is his commitment and deep love for the community. He provides exceptional catering services for a wide range of Batavia Chamber programs, including networking events, Women in Business luncheons as well as larger gatherings such as Chamber Cheers and Inspire awards.

“His culinary expertise not only elevates these events but also creates an inviting atmosphere that fosters networking and collaboration among Chamber members,” wrote Jamie Saam of Start Something Studio in her nomination letter.

“We are incredibly fortunate to have such a dedicated and dependable person as a member of our Chamber,” commented Margaret Perreault, president and CEO of the Batavia Chamber of Commerce. “When we are hosting an event and need a caterer, Jason has always come through with great ideas and elevates our events. His creativity, especially working within our budget, is worthy of praise.

“Jason approaches every event with a spirit of collaboration and service,” Ms. Perreault continued. “His efforts truly embody the essence of this award.”

The Batavia Chamber of Commerce is not the only organization that has benefited from Jason’s dedication and delicious cuisine. The Batavia Woman’s Club routinely holds their meetings at Enticing Cuisine, where Jason prepares a generous and imaginative buffet, allowing this philanthropic organization to fulfill their mission to enhance the lives of others through community service.

“The ladies of the Batavia Woman’s Club (BWC) look forward to the monthly dinners that Jason enthusiastically and skillfully provides us,” commented Cynthia Kieckhefer, president of BWC. “He has been such a supportive partner to our club as we conduct our charity and service work in the community. He is a true community partner with us and to so many others.”

The Batavia Rotary Club is another community member of Jason’s fan club. Rotary member Margaret Blighton, who chairs the organization’s Trivia Night Fundraiser to End Polio Now, has worked with Jason over the past several years.

“As our fundraiser has grown, Jason has graciously supported our cause,” wrote Ms. Blighton. “He has guided us regarding our cost savings, table settings, menus and sound set-up, allowing our fundraiser to be a great success each year, which means a larger donation to Rotary’s Polio Plus Foundation. Most importantly, it is always with flexibility and a smile!”

“In summary, Chef Jason Stoffels embodies the values and dedication that the Donna Dallesasse Award seeks to recognize,” concluded Ms. Saam. “Despite his achievements and the acclaim for his outstanding cuisine, he remains refreshingly humble. His collaborative spirit, dedication, and excellence in service make him a role model for other Chamber members and a pillar of our community.”

Jason Stoffels becomes the 18th recipient of the Donna Dallesasse Award at Chamber Cheers Thursday, Oct. 3. Chamber members and the public are invited to join us as we toast Jason and other Batavia Chamber members at Grainology Brewstillery, 1131 Flinn St. in Batavia, beginning at 6 p.m.
