Plano High School staff members nominated students for “Student of the Month” for September. Students are nominated for pride behavior, personal responsibility, respect, involved academically, demonstrates safe behavior, and excellence in what they do. Some reasons for nomination include making efforts to grow as an individual, translating class direction with other students, willing to seek and achieve new challenges, displaying positive energy, serving as a role model, being well prepared for play and band performances, running with other students to help them finish, setting a good example for other students, showing academic and personal growth. Students of the month for September are: Maya Rodriguez, Carson Gill, Jaelin Mitchell, Synthia Gonzalez, Sandra Valles, Natalie Leon, Alan Goodyear, Brooke Macheca, and Dayanara Tapia.

Some reasons for nomination include addressing discipline issues as they happen, being accessible during the school day, taking on extra responsibilities in the absence of others, displaying strong but positive energy, designing graphics for presentations, demonstrating professionalism, helping students with translation services, providing a comfortable environment for students to excel, actively supporting a positive environment and culture for students and staff.
