Aurora University homecoming, Hall of Fame

More than 1,000 people gathered October 10-12 for Aurora University homecoming/family weekend. Events kicked off Friday morning with exhibits and hands-on art experiences at the Schingoethe Center museum. Friday afternoon, the Wackerlin Center for Faith and Action hosted a 25th anniversary openhouse and conversation with AU president Susana Rivera-Mills, Ph.D.

Aurora University president Susana Rivera-Mills received the Outstanding Commitment in Education Award from Illinois State treasurer Michael Frerichs at a Hispanic Heritage Month celebration in Chicago September 25. ‘Eye to Eye’: Aurora University exhibits 40 unique artists

Aurora University’s Schingoethe Center gallery, 1315 Prairie Street, Aurora, opened the “Eye to Eye,” an exhibit showcasing the work of 40 artists. Natasha Ritsma, Schingoethe Center director, said “This interdisciplinary display, running through Dec. 2, showcases photographs, paintings, prints and sculptures by more than 40 artists from around the world.

Aurora University breaks ground for new library

May 15, Aurora University announced a Learning Commons to replace Charles B. Phillips Library.
