Rita Pennington, Illinois State Coordinator for the Quilts of Valor Foundation, visits the Aurora Sunrise Rotary Club to bestow, and wrap the Club’s veterans in a Quilt of Valor.
Members of the Aurora Veterans Advisory Council surprised 117 Aurora veterans at nursing homes with gift bags and quilts in honor of Veterans Day.
Four military veterans each received a Quilt of Valor June 7, much to their surprise, at the annual Scientel Solutions golf outing at the White Eagle Golf Club in Naperville.
Quilts of Valor were the focus December 24 for military veterans.
