Oswego Senior Center Inter-Generational Talent Show auditions are in full swing. Krystal Donnelly, of Oswego, is pictured singing “Sure on This Spring Night” by Samuel Barber. She is accompanied by her voice teacher, Jamie Kaisershot, of Aurora, who later auditioned for her participation of singing and playing “I Love a Piano” by Irving Berlin.
These performers, more musicians, and even a ventriloquist at the Inter-Generational Talent Show will be held at 6:30 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 1 at the Oswego Senior Center, 156 E. Washington, Oswego. The Show is sponsored by Law ElderLaw LLP, with a $5. donation admission at the door.

Powerlifting event in Aurora Aug. 25
Maximum Level Fitness will be host to the inaugural Ray Rodriguez Push/Pull Backyard Meet Saturday, Aug. 25 at 1 p.m.. The event will be held at Maximum Level Fitness at 129 Spruce Street, Aurora at 1 p.m.. It will be a bench press and deadlift competition. Part of the proceeds from the event will be donated to the Kidney Cancer Association. Spectators will pay $5. at the door. Some big names in powerlifting will be at the event.

Habitat restoration work day at Bliss Woods
A habitat restoration work day will be held at Bliss Woods Forest Preserve Saturday, July 28 from 9 a.m. to noon. Participants will pull or cut invasive species. We will meet at the inside, main parking lot in the park. Enter off Bliss Road.
