The Venue, the 200-currently-empty-seat music performance space in Aurora, will deliver Livestream performances of two amazing guitar players on consecutive Mondays. Guitarist extraordinary and Heartsfield member, Dave Nelson, will play a great blend of songs Monday, April 27 at 8 p.m.. Another incredible guitarist, Scott Tipping, will play brilliant songs Monday, May 4 at 8 p.m..
Both shows will be livestreamed on Facebook and direct donations can be made at themusicvenue.org. Proceeds from the shows will benefit the performing artists and The Fox Valley Music Foundation. The Venue, in downtown Aurora, 21 S. Broadway, was created by the Fox Valley Music Foundation.
The new series from The Venue and the Fox Valley Music Foundation, entitled, Livestream on Broadway at The Venue, will be each Monday at 8 p.m. from The Venue page on Facebook – www.facebook.com/TheVenueAurora.
“Two of the Fox Valley’s super guitarists play back-to-back shows,” said Fox Valley Music Foundation president, Dave Glynn. “Both of these guys were responsible for the Leland Bluebird Sessions tribute album and concert. They believe in the rich blues history of Aurora and convey it often, a perfect fit for our Livestream series.”
Box and Cornmeal. Scott produced the aforementioned Leland Bluebird Sessions, critically-acclaimed revival of the RCA Bluebird recordings made in Aurora in the late 1930s.
Donations will keep the nonprofit The Venue going while temporarily closed. There is more information about artists and a full calendar of upcoming shows and times. Adjacent to Mundy Park in downtown Aurora, The Venue was created and built by the Fox Valley Music Foundation with help from the city government of Aurora, Invest Aurora, the Community Foundation of the Fox River Valley, the Dunham Foundation, and private donors.
