The Venue, 21 S. Broadway in downtown Aurora, will present a free movie screening of “The Birds” in time for Halloween Saturday, Oct. 25.
Alfred Hitchcock’s “The Birds” is among the greatest and most well-known horror movies of all time. Starring Tippi Hedren, the classic Technicolor film is based on a short story of the same name. The movie was released in spring 1963. Doors open at 6 p.m.. The movie will start at 7 p.m..
The free movie night is sponsored by A Wondrous Life, Jill Amoni Tribute. Attendees are invited to come in costume, and there will be Halloween candy for attendees.
“My mom loved Alfred Hitchcock movies, and her sharing those movies with me helped to spark my love of film,” said Marissa Amoni, who is the daughter of Jill Amoni. Jill died in May shortly after a uterine cancer diagnosis.
