All freedoms in the Bill of Rights amount to One.
It is the essence of them all, when said and done.
Freedom of choice! The giving of your right to choose;
And when that right is violated, then…you lose!
Your right to vote, therefore, is the essential must;
To have it remain valid, counted, measured trust.
For, if for any reason, voting laws are breeched,
Immediate danger to your freedoms have been reached.
For then, how each is governed may well be attacked;
The succinct wording in each hard to keep intact.
The ways and means it takes to circumvent the law
Is ample proof that in the wording is a flaw.
For if they thought it hopeless, then they wouldn’t try;
And it should not be difficult to reason why.
For those who would seek power just for power’s sake
Have no respect for voters or the votes they make.
