Three new businesses are opening in Aurora’s downtown, which is a showcase of the Aurora area’s strength while emerging from the pandemic.

• Floral artist Nancy Arch recently expanded her floral design service, Sammy Wammy, to a new location at 40 E. New York Street, which opened over Mother’s Day weekend. Sammy Wammy, run entirely by Arch and her family, creates memorable floral designs and sensible bouquets for any occasion.

• Mother-and-son team, Hope Ashworth and Braden Smith, have combined their passions for fine art and the art of craft cocktails into the combination gallery and cocktail bar, French 75. The artisan lounge will feature a rotating selection of art from various artists, as well as a rotating selection of classic and original cocktails, which the general public can have an experience at their tentative grand opening in August at 56 N. Galena Boulevard.

• SIX THIRTY is an artist focused multimedia production brand spearheaded by David Nguyen. The brand’s new headquarters is at 30 N. Broadway. Nguyen will hold a grand opening for the general public June 30. The company provides media services to artists, from music video production and photography to music recording and social media management.

Nguyen said that Aurora has potential. “Let’s bring it out. Let’s show the world,” he said.
