TJ Hodges to coach at Waubonsee

Waubonsee Community College’s women’s basketball head coach Jim Williams has announced that TJ Hodges will be joining his coaching staff for the upcoming 2024-2025 season as the Chiefs’ Assistant Coach. Hodges will assist with Waubonsee’s recruiting, player development, practice plans and game strategy.

He coached for five years at Parkland College in central Illinois leading the Cobras to 123 wins overall. Hodges has also spent six seasons as a highly touted AAU coach, and has served as the Director for the KG Superstars AAU program for boys and girls travel teams based in nearby Yorkville.

Coach Hodges has held numerous skills training camps for players of all levels through his own company TJ Hodges Basketball. He has also trained and worked with former professional and NCAA Division I players, including Kendall Gill, Sergio McClain and Brian Cook. The 1992 graduate of Effingham High School in downstate Illinois resides in Yorkville with his wife Kristen and their three children, Hayden, Hudson and Hannah.
