Roots in Blue is an eight-piece popular music group that features guitar, bass, drums, piano, and vocalists. Based at Scott Air Force Base, 17 miles east of St. Louis near O’Fallon and Belleville in Illinois, this ensemble honors our veterans and active duty members by communicating esprit de corps and paying tribute to our great country through a 10-state region in the Midwest.
This band celebrates America’s love for rock, country, and popular music. A versatile ensemble, Roots in Blue is available for military functions, community concerts, school assemblies, and outdoor festivals. Members of this high energy group have performed everything from large venues to small acoustic shows.
Herschel Luckinbill, president of the Fox Valley Veterans Breakfast Club, is bringing the band for the communities to hear well-played patriotic music with no admission cost.
