The first City of Lights Ukulele Festival will present many of the Midwest’s finest ukulele artists in downtown Aurora, to include performances, workshops, and open mic. The event will take place at Water Street, near Aurora City Hall, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 26.
Four downtown museums, The David L. Pierce Art and History Center, The Aurora Regional Fire Museum, SciTech Hands-On Museum and G.A.R. Museum, will be open from noon to 6 p.m. with free admission and extra performances and activities.
The Festival will feature six acts on Water Street Stage, including: Lil’ Rev, Gerald Ross, Lanialoha Lee, The Fabulous Heftones, Hix Bros Ukulele Band, and The Beatleleles.
The suggested donation is $10 per person and $25 per family.
