NASCAR Cup Series, Pala Casino 400, Auto Club Speedway, Fontana, Calif., Sunday, Feb. 26.
The race was won by a driver, Kyle Busch, who has won a race there for three teams He won in the No. 8 Chevy and driving for Richard Childress Racing. Following in second place was Chase Elliott, Ross Chastain in third, Daniel Suárez in fourth, and Kevin Harvick in fifth.
The race began with Christopher Bell on pole and Ricky Stenhouse Jr. on the outside.
Alex Bowman led 19 of the first 20 laps. During a caution 15 laps in, Kyle Larson went to the garage with runability problems. Brad Keselowski spun out on lap 42 into the infield.
Stage 1 was won by Ross Chastain over Ryan Blaney.
In stage 2, there was a big wreck on lap 82 with 10 cars involved. Cars involved included Bell, Blaney, Aric Almirola, Keslowski, Tyler Reddick, and AJ Allmendinger.
Denny Hamlin was leading at lap 95 when Ross Chastain took the lead and held on to win the second stage with Kyle Bush in second.
Bubba Wallace was out of the race with car problems with 24 laps to go.
Busch took the lead with 21 laps and held on for the victory.
NASCAR Cup Series, The Daytona 500, Daytona International Speedway, Daytona Beach, Fla., Sunday, Feb. 19.
The winner was Ricky Stenhouse, Jr. who led the last lap-and-a-half. Following in second was Joey Logano, Bell in third, Chris Buescher in fourth, and Alex Bowman in fifth Pole leaders were Logano and Allmendinger. The first stage was won by Keselowski over Almirola.
At lap 118 there was a six-car wreck involving Harvick, Eric Jones, Reddick, Elliott.
There were 36 lead changes up to end of stage 2 until Chastain took the lead to claim victory.
With 18 laps to go in the final stage, a wreck took out Mike McDowell, Ryan Preese, Kevin Harvick, Martin Truex, Jr, Ty Gibbs, and Chase Bristol.
Harrison Burton was in the lead ahead of Logano with 16 laps to go.
Six laps to go Kyle Busch and Daniel Suarez spun into each other, and a green-white-checker was set.
After the restart, a big crash developed involving Jimmie Johnson, Austin Dillon, Austin Hendrick, and approximately 10 other drivers.
Now, the second green-white-checker finish was set up with Logano and Stenhouse running side by side. The finish was frozen by a final caution that ended the race with Stenhouse, Jr. declared the winner!
NASCAR Cup Series, Bluegreen Vacations Duel, Daytona International Speedway, Daytona Beach, Fla., Thursday, Feb. 16.
The first race was won by Logano followed by Bell in second, Blaney in third, Buecher in fourth, and McDowell in fifth.
The second race was won by Almirola followed by Cendrick in second, Elliott in third, Keselowski in fourth, and Cory Lajoie in fifth.
NASCAR Cup Series, Clash at the Coliseum, Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, Los Angeles, Calif., Sunday, Feb. 5.
This race was the first NASCAR Cup Series race of the year and was held at the L.A. Coliseum on a short paved track. The race was won by Truex Jr. with Dillon in second, Kyle Busch in third, Bowman in fourth, and Larson in fifth.
