Water Street Studios in Bataviais thrilled to announce the selection of its next executive director. After a four-month search, the organization’s Board of Directors chose Taylor Egan to lead its organization.
Mrs. Egan joins Water Street Studios with a background in the arts and a strong commitment to community building and education. She has an undergraduate degree in art history from DePaul University and began her career in Chicago as a research assistant. Egan serves as the president of the Geneva School Disrict Board and is both the administrative and operating director of the Geneva Feeder Basketball program.
Prior to joining Water Street Studios, she served as co-president of the Geneva Academic Foundation, was on her School District’s joint PTO, served on numerous district task force committees, the Geneva coalition for Youth, and the Geneva Library Foundation.
“Returning to the art world has been a goal of mine for some time. I feel fortunate to now be part of an art organization aligned with my own goals of community enrichment and education. Seeing what Water Street Studios accomplished during Dani’s (Hollis) tenure, I know I am joining a successful organization,” said Egan. “I’m excited to be a part of a team that has a common vision and a clear path for the future. I take great pride in being associated with not only this group of people, but with a nonprofit arts organization that has so much to offer our community”.
Jessica Breugelmans, Water Street Studios Board President, believes Taylor will be a strong addition to the Water Street Studios team. “Taylor’s experience and education will be a great asset to the organization and will build upon the great momentum that Danielle Hollis has already put in place for us.”
