Waubonsee Community College’s men’s and women’s basketball teams are set to begin post-season play in the Region 4 Division II Tournaments Thursday, Feb. 27.

The No. 15th seeded College of Lake County Lancers (9-18), in their last clash against the WCC Chiefs, took the two teams to overtime before Waubonsee prevailed, 89-87, on a basket by James Parker in the final seconds of the extra session.

WCC women’s team is seeded 11th in their Midwest District B bracket and will head to sixth-seeded Kankakee Community College (16-14) Thursday at 6 p.m..
The Chiefs (14-15) knocked off the KCC Cavaliers, 78-67, February 8 in Sugar Grove.
