Thanks to Wayside Cross Ministries’ (WCM) partnership with First Presbyterian Church and the Dunham Fund, all based in Aurora WCM can offer a discipleship home to some of their graduates. For more than nine decades the church has been an integral part of the lives of the men, in the WCM program.
After receiving favorable responses from Aurora officials, and considering its history with WCM, First Presbyterian offered its five-bedroom home on South Fourth Street in Aurora, as a resource to help men transfer from community life at WCM, to interdependent living at the discipleship home as an essential component of the men’s long-term recovery.
The house has a live-in manager and will be a place to come together, drawing strength from one another and the Lord.
The upgrades would not be possible without a grant of $50,000 from the Dunham Fund which will allow the installation of needed fire protection, along with plumbing upgrades, and expanded bathrooms.
The Dunham Fund’s generosity helps make this project become a reality, and ultimately to effect positive change in our community.
