Weisner Family Center for Career Development in Aurora, progress

The Aurora Sunrise Rotary Club held its meeting January 29 at the Weisner Family Center for Career Development in Aurora to see the progress made in the short period of time the building has been open. The group heard plans for future career training areas, and toured the facilities.

At present, the welding training, and the precision machining areas are up and running, and the automotive training is active, but not on this campus. Building trades, medical assistance training, and Electrical and HVAC training are yet to be added. The computer science areas will include cybersecurity, medical billing, and coding.

The goal is to have all of these sections up and running by 2021. The Center is part of West Aurora School District 129, and is on the former Dreyer Clinic Campus.
