Welcome home: Nathan “Nick” Macejak

Nathan “Nick” Macejak shares a big and prolonged welcome home hug with his son, Will, Saturday at AMVETS 103 in Aurora. Sergeant Macejak received a ride in a vehicle that was a part of a long parade from Home Depot on Orchard Road in Aurora, south to Prairie Avenue and to the AMVETS building west of Lake Street. Sgt. Macejak, from Winfield, served in Washington, D.C. for a year and the welcome home was a surprise to his son, Will. The parade was composed of various emergency vehicles, cycles, tow trucks, and participants in personal vehicles.
