Wesley United Methodist Church to screen Finding Nemo

Wesley United Methodist Church, 14 N. May Street in Aurora, has rescheduled a free screening of “Finding Nemo” to 7:30 p.m. Friday, July 29, outdoors on the church grounds.

The public is invited. Admission and parking are free. A July 15 screening was rained out.

Free refreshments will include hot dogs, snacks, and beverages. Attendees should bring lawn chairs, or blankets.

A freewill offering will be taken.

“Finding Nemo,” an award-winning computer-animated adventure film was produced by Pixar Animation Studios and released by Walt Disney Pictures in 2003.

It tells the story of an overprotective clownfish named Marlin who, along with a regal blue tang named Dory, searches for his missing son, Nemo.

Along the way, Marlin learns to take risks and comes to terms with Nemo’s taking care of himself.

The film was nominated for three Academy Awards and one won for Best Animated Feature, to become the first Pixar film to do so.

“Finding Nemo” is the best-selling DVD title of all time, with more than 40 million copies sold as of 2006.
