West Aurora Concerned Citizens June 20
The West Aurora Concerned Citizens Neighborhood Group will hold its June meeting at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 20 at West Aurora Plaza, 5th Ward Community Room.
The Guest speaker will be Anna Payton, Aurora’s new Animal Control & Care manager. She will discuss any updates, changes, and ordinances.
The Aurora Humane Society will be represented.

Restoration at Bliss Woods June 23
A habitat restoration work day will be held at Bliss Woods Forest Preserve in Sugar Grove Saturday, June 23 from 9 a.m. to noon. Pulling garlic mustard and hedge parsley will be on the agenda. Please wear long pants, long sleeves, gloves, and sturdy shoes. Bring non-spray bug repellent. We will meet at the inside, main parking lot in the Park. Enter off of Bliss Road. Refreshments will be served. Anyone under 13 must be accompanied by an adult.

Rockford Peaches manager in Yorkville
Rebecca Tulloch, manager of the Rockford Peaches vintage woman’s baseball team, will trace the truth and fiction about the Tom Hanks film, “A League of their Own,” at 7 p.m. Wednesday, June 27, at Yorkville Public Library, 902 Game Farm Road in Yorkville. Admission is free. This year is the 75th anniversary of the original Rockford Peaches and the All-American Baseball League.
