Poem: What’s In A Smile?

Share this article:

A smile may be just like a lighthouse when compared,
To show safe passage if your charts are up to date,
But otherwise to warn you off of the dangers fared
By venturing too close, the blithe tempting of fate.
But just as strong may be the smile whose beaming light
Is seen and aimed at only those for whom it’s meant,
Despite what may be deeply hidden, out of sight,
Confusing others by tis warmth, the message sent.
This is the smile which carries with it love and tears,
Except you first must solve the latter, see it breeched,
Including having met and conquered many fears.
That means, however, you will love the levels reached.
