In a fundraiser for the Salvation Army Aurora Corps, Aurora Area Retired Teachers Association will host a bus trip to a summer White Sox game.
Tickets are on sale for the Sox vs. world champion LA Dodgers game Sunday, June 14, at 1:10 p.m. in Chicago. Dick Schindel, trip organizer and AARTA past president, said a coach bus will leave East Aurora High School parking lot, door 15, at 10:15 a.m..
A tailgate party is included. Attendees are invited to bring a dish to pass. Soda, bottled water. and table service is provided.
Tickets are $90. They include coach bus transportation and game entry. Deadline to buy tickets is Friday, May 8. Send checks payable to AARTA to Schindel, 784 Morningside Ave., Aurora, IL 60505. Call 630-921-1307 for more information.
Schindel said an AARTA bus trip to the June 28 Chicago Cubs vs. Milwaukee Brewers game at Milwaukee is sold out. The event is a fundraiser for Aurora Lions Club.
