Yorkville Public Library continues to offer regular operating hours. The Library is open Monday through Thursday 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., Friday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.. Face-coverings must be worn in the building. Curb-side service is available for those who do not want to enter the Library.
• Virtual 3-D Printing
Leah English provides a step by step tutorial on how to use Tinkercad. Tinkercad is an easy to use 3D CAD design tool, where you can create an object that we can print on our 3D printer. Check out the Library’s website to link to the YPL YouTube channel, follow the steps to create your own 3D printed piece. Prints cost $0.20 per gram.
• Tuesday, Jan. 19, 2:45 p.m., Tag (Teen Advisory Group) at the Yorkville Public Library.
Teens in grades eighth through 12 get together to share ideas about the teen area in the Library. They help create and plan programs. This group has opportunities to earn volunteer hours. Great chance to meet new persons and have some fun and laughs. Face masks and social distancing are required.
• Wednesday, Jan. 6, 20, and Wednesday, Feb. 3, 17, 2021, 7 p.m., Virtual Dungeons and Dragons on Zoom.
The world’s most popular tabletop role-playing game, Dungeons and Dragons, will be played on a fantastical four-week quest over Zoom, finding treasure, slaying dragons, and fighting goblins. Join us at YPL for Drop In Story Time with Ms Jennette. This story time will be held in our large meeting room, the Michelle Pfister Room. Face masks and social distancing are required.

In this two session book club, the participants will receive the book on January 12. Then, it will be discussed at the following session January 26. Please register for both days on the YPL website. Face masks and social distancing are required.

If you are interested in joining us to play BINGO on Zoom, please register on the YPL website to receive a Zoom invitation. Each player will need four Bingo cards.
• Thursday, Jan. 14 and 21, at 4:30 p.m., Book Club, first and second grades.
In this two-session book club, we will read the book, “The Story of Ruby Bridges” by Robert Coles. Join us to discuss the civil rights movement and widen the recognition of those who played a part in this momentous change in America’s history. Please register for both days on the YPL website. Please join us for Story Time on Facebook to celebrate the life of Martin Luther King Jr.. We will read three books about Martin Luther King, Jr. during the day January 18. These recorded books will be posted on the YPL Facebook at 11 a.m., 2 p.m., and 4 p.m..
