The National Weather Services has issued a WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY, beginning at 3 p.m. today through 9 a.m. tomorrow.
- Snow accumulation is expected to begin later this afternoon, quickly producing several inches. It will be followed by freezing rain during the overnight hours.
- Consequently, road conditions could be dangerous for driving and there could be a potential for power outages due to heavy, wet snow and ice on power lines. Fallen tree branches and limbs are expected as well.
- Refrain from commuting in the inclement weather. If you must drive, give yourself plenty of travel time, keep at least two car lengths distance from the nearest vehicle, keep emergency supplies in your car and charge your phone prior to driving.
The full Aurora Snow Team will be dispatched ahead of the snow to treat the roads on a rotation aligned with conditions.
