A habitat restoration work day will be held at Bliss Woods Forest Preserve from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Nov. 27.
Cutting and stacking of invasive brush such as buckthorn and honeysuckle will be the focus of the work day. Tools will be provided however feel free to bring a favorite hand cutters and loppers.
Please wear sturdy shoes and dress in layers. Warm work gloves are a necessity. We will meet in the main parking lot of Bliss Woods Forest Preserve off of Bliss Road in Sugar Grove.
Children under 13 years must be accompanied by an adult. Refreshments will be available at the break.
Bliss Woods is a beautiful woodland, blessed with many beautiful native wild flowers and mature trees. It is a joy to be involved in making sure it is preserved for future generations.
