As the only boutique with a liquor license in Aurora, Wyckwood House has created quite a buzz over the last year since opening up last May at 80 S. River Street.
The lifestyle boutique in downtown Aurora features both women’s and men’s apparel along with cards, gift items, and home decor, all that can be browsed with drink in hand.
Founder and owner Shannon Gutierrez, of Aurora, said that The Wyckwood, its signature cocktail, has been the most popular. Shoppers can enjoy the fruity and floral drink with vodka and sparkling cava when they shop.
The Cocktail Bar at Wyckwood House features a full cocktail menu along with craft beer and wine. Beverage manager Bret Gloria creates custom seasonal drinks, and just debuted the spring cocktail menu featuring “Pop Life.” All of the new handcrafted cocktails reference Prince songs.
It’s a touch that doesn’t get lost on Gutierrez. She works with Gloria and brand manager, Sarah Cervantes, to create a welcoming vibe in the clean and contemporary space. Marble tabletops mix with wicker chairs, tropical greenery, and gold wagon wheel chandeliers.
“I want everyone to feel special when they come in,” Gutierrez said. “I want people to feel relaxed. I was inspired to create a space for others,” she added.
With that goal, Gutierrez invites guests to hang out in the cocktail lounge, which features soft, gray velvet couches along with several bistro tables and a large table for gathering.
Whether working, meeting with friends, or taking a long lunch, Wyckwood House boasts a comfortable and carefree space to enjoy.
“This is a treat,” Gutierrez said.
Wyckwood House is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday, and from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday. The spring cocktail menu features mocktails. Learn more about Wyckwood House and see upcoming events at wyckwoodhouse.com.
