The two annual Friends fundraisers, Mini Golf and the Used Book Sale, were well attended by the public resulting in our donation of more than $8,000 to the Yorkville Public Library in the past fiscal year.
These profits were used in a variety of ways to support the Library’s programs and services for children, as well as adults such as:
- Ongoing and special programs for adults and children;
- Summer reading programs;
- Library Road Trip with 18 other libraries;
- Harry Potter Event;
- Chair Yoga;
- Public Performance Movie License;
- Flowers for outdoor planters;
- Subscription to Book Page
The Friends of the Yorkville Library have donated more than 1,200 hours of their time in order to make all of this advancement happen with 55 current members. Maybe the Library is as important to you as it is to us, and you are thinking about volunteering where you will make a difference.
