Sorority sisters and leaders of Zeta Phi Beta receive honors with proclamations for the Sorority’s 100th anniversary at the Aurora City Council meeting Tuesday at City Hall. Sorority sisters of Zeta Phi Beta receive honors with a proclamation for the Sorority’s 100th anniversary at the Aurora City Council meeting Tuesday. The Sorority was founded January 16, 1920 at Howard University in Washington, D. C. under the principles of scholarship, service, sisterly love, and finer womanhood. The Alpha Alpha Sigma Zeta Chapter was chartered April 2, 2015 to serve the community alongside its undergraduate Nu Xi Chapter at Aurora University. The Aurora Zetas have empowered Aurora-area youth through workshops on financial management, back-to-school supply drives, and other activities. Jason Crane/The Voice
