Photos presented to the North Aurora Village Board at the North Aurora Committee of the Whole meeting online through the Zoom remote internet conferencing service Monday include plans for renovation of an existing silo behind Harner’s Bakery in North Aurora. Zoom Video Communications is an American remote conferencing services company with headquarters in San Jose, Calif.. The plans are to renovate the silo near the Fox River close to the intersection of Routes 31 and 56 to be converted into a lighted observatory and enhanced with outdoor seating and include a park and a kayak launch at the Fox River. Board members seemed to agree they should proceed with plans, although trustee Laura Curtis stated with the uncertain economic times the half-a-million dollars isn’t going to be an immediate benefit and it should be put on the shelf for a little bit.
