Play for Pride: A Games & Trivia Fundraiser
The fundraiser for Aurora Pride will feature tabletop games, bingo, and trivia. Guests may bring their favorite board games or play some of the games provided by organizers. Several rounds of bingo will be offered throughout the afternoon. There will be a trivia competition during the second half of the event. All ages are welcome, Ballydoyle, 28 W. New York Street. Guests can make a $5 donation for three rounds of bingo. The entry donation for the trivia contest is $20 for a team of up to four persons. All proceeds from the event will go toward the 2020 Aurora Pride Parade which will be Sunday, June 14 at noon. Pechakucha Night
PechaKucha means chit-chat in Japanese. PechaKucha 20×20 is a simple presentation format where you show 20 images (slides), each for 20 seconds, a total of only six minutes, 40 seconds. The format keeps presentations concise and fast-paced; the images advance automatically and the presenter talks along to the images. This quarter’s theme is Beyond Language. Habitat for Humanity 2nd annual Trivia Night Fund Raiser
The Oswego Presbyterian Church, 1976 Route 25, will hold a second annual trivia night fund raiser to benefit Montgomery-based Fox Valley Habitat for Humanity. The public is invited. Parking is free. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.. Admission is $10 per person. Individuals and teams of eight persons are invited. A silent auction, 50/50 raffle and door prizes are included. The Faith Build will raise a Habitat home at 423 Parker Avenue. Donations and volunteers are needed to continue the nonprofit ministry.

At Debi’s Design Diary DIY Paint class please arrive early to select a project and discuss what you would like to learn. They can paint jewelry boxes or your own small project piece. LUNAFEST
The Oswego Cultural Arts Commission celebrates women in the arts with the return of LUNAFEST, a fundraising film festival of shorts by and about women. This year’s films cover topics such as identity, aging, life changes and breaking through gender barriers. Films featured at LUNAFEST are not rated, however, organizers suggest that this year’s lineup will be most suited to viewers ages 14 and up. Women designers were responsible for much of the world’s mid-century furniture, textiles, and designed objects, although they did not always get the credit they deserved. Stacy Hand will talk about some of the truly great designers, including Ray Eames and Aino Aalto, to illuminate their roles in bringing a modernist aesthetic to the post-war interior. WCC ‘Lions Night’ to benefit Sugar Grove Food Pantry
Waubonsee Community College Lions Club will sponsor Lions Night, a food and fundraiser, at WCC Chiefs’ basketball games. The event will benefit Sugar Grove Between Friends food pantry. WCC will be host to Elgin Community College for a women’s game at 5:15 p.m. and a men’s game at 7:15 p.m. in Erickson Gymnasium at the Sugar Grove campus, Route. 47 at Waubonsee Drive. Attendees who bring a nonperishable food donation will be admitted free to the games. WCC Lions will collect donations for the pantry between games.

Minature Golf Fun Raiser in Yorkville
The event will take place on both floors inside the Yorkville Public Library, 902 Game Farm Road. Players hit balls between the book shelves and around obstacles provided by decorators of each hole. Players of all ages can play the 18-hole course. All profits will go directly to the Yorkville Library to support programs and services for the community.
