Dear friends of the Aurora GreenFest:
In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Aurora GreenFest Committee has made the difficult decision to cancel this year’s Aurora GreenFest. Because of the crowds of visitors who come to the GreenFest, social distancing would not be possible, and the health of our guests, vendors, and volunteers, is very important to us. Looking into the future, we plan to be back in 2021, better than ever! Watch for our 2021 date to be announced in the coming months.
Please remember that we must maintain our sustainability movement even in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic and our struggles for racial equality. When we come through to the other side of this crisis we want the environment still to be a vibrant, green place to raise our families and sustain a healthy and safe future, not just from the coronavirus but also from environmental problems.
We know that we have to put our most urgent attention toward protecting ourselves from the COVID-19 virus and recovering from its social and economic damage. As we do that we need to keep sustainability as a constant intention in the back of our minds. Just like we have to take care of ourselves right now with good habits such as eating healthy food and getting enough exercise, we still have to take care of the environment with recycling, using green energy and conserving energy, preserving our precious clean water, cleaning up pollution, and supporting community and organic food sources. These are all things that will help us build back better as our community moves forward to a new situation, more resilient, stronger, and safer together.
It is with our deepest gratitude that we wish to express our thanks to the residents of Aurora and the Fox Valley for the support and enthusiasm that you have shown us over the last 10 years. To all of our vendors and exhibitors, we couldn’t have done it without you. You are our heroes!

They say it takes a village, and our village always comes out with love and friendship to make the world a better place for all of us.
