More than 125 cars were lined up early by 7 a.m. Monday for the Aurora Pop-Up Pantry at Phillips Park!
A city press release said approximately 100 volunteers distributed free food starting at 9 a.m.. Volunteers included youth, Mayor’s Office Service Team, Aurora Emergency Management Agency, Maya Angelou Academy, Quad County Urban League, Boys2Men, and Citizens Police Academy Alumni of Aurora.
Officials estimated up to 1,000 families received three grocery boxes: A meat box, fruits and vegetables box and a dairy box with milk, and cheese.
