Chase Elliott makes final four in Cup

NASCAR Cup Series, Xfinity 500, Martinsville Speedway, Martinsville, Va., Xfinity 500, Sunday, Nov. 1.

Chase Elliott won the championship at Martinsville to qualify for the final four in Phoenix at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 8. Second place was won by Ryan Blaney, Joe Logano was in third, Brad Keselowski in fourth, and Kurt Busch in fifth.

Kevin Harvick was down two laps early in the race and it took him all of the race to get in the top 10. Harvick ran into Kyle Busch about 100 feet to the finish line. It was Elliott’s fourth victory this season.

NASCAR Cup Series, Autotrader EchoPark Automotive 500, Texas Motor Speedway, Fort Worth, Texas, Sunday, Oct. 25.

The race was started Sunday, Oct. 25 in the afternoon and finished Wednesday, Oct. 28 in the evening, due to rain delays. After more than 72 hours and waiting all season, last year’s champion, Kyle Busch, finally won his first race of the season! Martin Truex, Jr. took second place, followed by Christopher Bell in third, Ryan Blaney in fourth, and Alex Bowman in fifth.

Clint Bowyer won the first stage with sponsor DeKalb Seeds.

The second stage was won by Kyle Busch. Jimmie Johnson, who is retiring this year, was in second place for 50 laps until his engine blew up.

NASCAR Cup Series, Hollywood Casino 400, Kansas Motor Speedway, Kansas City, Kansas, Sunday, Oct. 18.

Logano won over Harvick which put Logano in the final four. Third place was won by Alex Bowman, Keselowski was in fourth, and Kyle Busch in fifth.

The first stage went to Elliott and Denny Hamlin won the second stage. It was Logano’s third victory this season.

NASCAR News:

• Other news heard on Dale Earnhart, Jr.’s television show, is that Kyle Larson, after completing diversity program will be coming back to NASCAR next season. He will drive for a Rick Hendrick Motorsports team. Matt Kenseth was filling in for Larson on Chip Ganasie, unsure of what will happen with Kenseth.

• More Road Course Races for 2021, will include Road America, Elkart Lake, Wis. and the Course of the Americas in Austin, Texas. There will be six road course races next season and the race at Road America will be the Fourth of July weekend!

• No races are scheduled for Chicagoland Speedway or Route 66 Drag Strip near Joliet for the 2021 season.

• Michael Jordan and Hamlin are starting a new NASCAR Cup team with Bubba Wallace as their driver!
