It will be Small Business Saturday November 28. This year, shopping small is easier than ever in downtown Aurora.
From antiques to unique home goods and boutique clothing stores, downtown Aurora is once again a burgeoning shopping destination.
Screech. Enter COVID-19.
Thankfully, small businesses in downtown Aurora continue to quickly make a transition to meet the current State requirements. Stores are open for business, but they offer curbside pickup and online buying options.
Whether in person or online, there are many holiday gift options.
Stop at one of four craft coffee shops for quick and easy gifts under $20, or purchase gift cards in any amount from their websites to give as gifts.
For gifts under $30, visit Wyckwood House and The Cotton Seed Creative Exchange to find handcrafted wares by dozens of Aurora area artisans. Clever home decor signs, artistic coasters, bohemian totes, or a vintage vinyl album are ready.
Available is a Christmas tree or a darling house plant at a range of prices from Branch Gardens, and a visit can be beneficial to Blissful Blooms for a sweet bouquet, fresh or dried. Ask about the discounted Cocoa Non-Crawl holiday bouquet that’s perfect for the festive season.
Shoppers can create gift boxes filled with goodies for friends and family by thinking outside of the box and visiting salons and the Aurora Regional Fire Museum gift shop.
If you visit downtown from noon to 3 p.m. November 28 or December 5, make sure to stop for a photo at the gazebo at Millennium Plaza on Stolp or the big star at Mundy Park along Broadway.
Before you go home, make sure to visit a downtown restaurant, cafe, or coffee shop for carry-out.
The best part is that the gifts found in downtown Aurora are one-of-a-kind, and shopping local supports the community in a big way.
