Approximately 100 city of Aurora government employees volunteer for the Holiday Hope Pop-Up Pantry Tuesday, Dec. 22 and help to distribute food to 1,500 families. Through the City Serve initiative, City employees can volunteer time at citywide group events. Distribution volunteers joined other groups such as the Citizens Police Academy of Aurora Alumni (CPAAA) and the Emergency Management Agency (EMA) volunteers who directed traffic. The event was the seventh drive-thru food distribution the City was host to this year in collaboration with the Northern Illinois Food Bank and local food pantries. City of Aurora government photos
