Kane County Health Department (KCHD) is committed to providing COVID-19 vaccination services to the community.
The Department announced the closing of the Kane Vax Hub in Batavia in early January 2022.
In response to public input and conversations with the County Board, the department is reassessing its operation of the Vax Hub site and will consider options to run mass clinics in early 2022 based upon vaccine demand and labor resources.
“The County opened up the mass vax site within a few short weeks and it has been the anchor of our vaccination efforts ever since. We are extremely grateful for all of the work that our staff has put in above and beyond what was expected of them,” said Jarett Sanchez, the chairman of Kane County’s Public Health Committee.
Beginning in January 2022, KCHD will provide continuing vaccinations by appointment at the Aurora office, 1240 N. Highland Avenue. Check KaneVax.org for availability.
In addition, KCHD has identified more than 90 Kane County community partners that provide COVID-19 vaccine. An updated list is available online at KaneHealth.com.
Businesses and community organizations can request a vaccination clinic at their site through the Illinois Department of Public Health at dph.illinois.gov/covid19/vaccinationclinics.html.
