Oswegoland Seniors, Inc. (OSI) Board of Directors recently announced it has secured a new home for the Oswego Senior Center. The facility is at 3525 US Highway 34, Oswego, the former Oswego Police Station. Since losing its lease with the Oswego School District in July 2020, the Senior Center has been in two temporary locations and has been a partner with numerous local community entities to continue their core programming.
The new facility provides excellent space for current programs and offers immense opportunities for future growth. Wally Hamlin, president of OSI Board of Directors, commented, “While securing the new building, the Board has improved the Center’s name to Oswegoland Senior and Community Center to be inclusive of our entire community to broaden services and programming potential.”
Along with the expanded name, a newly designed logo completes the updated image. Because the building has been vacant for some time, cleaning and moving priorities will happen this month. All of Oswegoland Senior February programming will continue at the same locations as January. The Center plans to be open to seniors starting March 1 with programming, classes and other opportunities. April 8 will be a housewarming party at OSCC.
