I am proud to join governor-elect J.B. Pritzker’s bipartisan “Serving Illinois’ Heroes” Committee, which will advise the incoming administration on issues of importance to our veterans.
The previous administration’s shortcomings on serving veterans led to 14 deaths and countless illnesses at the Quincy Veterans’ home. The previous administration focused on evading responsibility and finding scapegoats, rather than taking responsibility and finding solutions.
I am confident that our bipartisan committee will push politics aside to place veterans first.
