As to the person reading this, I do not care;
For what is being written is for all to share.
This social unrest we again are going through
Cannot be seen as having nothing to do with you.
You don’t burn down the outhouse just because of smell;
For what you claim you dislike comes from you as well.
Then there are those who simply will not get involved,
And, as a consequence, nothing gets resolved.
Then there is quite a number of us quite concerned;
So all of us are forced to watch it as it burned.
The instigating point is then played fast and loose;
But, looking back on it, it’s used as an excuse.
That Black lives matter is spot on, no argument;
But so do lives and property quite innocent.
The attitude which warrants this is what is wrong;
But what I’m saying is: the violence don’t belong.
The part that wants no part of this is wrong also;
It is your outhouse too, as if you didn’t know.
We have, in this, a unique nation, second to none;
We still are just a work in progress, not yet done.
For here, it’s We, the People…which includes us all;
A Constitution based on liberty, the call!
