Poem: America, First, Last, And Always…

It is best to be seen as America’s own on this day’
We’re American, first, last, and always, and that we display.
Since we cannot begin to list all of the credits we’ve done,
We may still recognize how and why all these merits were won.
There is hardly a thing you now use, or, at least, recognize,
That did not have inception through use of private enterprise.
Electricity, movies, the vacuum, and telephone,
The emerging technology systems we can call our own,
Just about everything, everywhere, is because being free
Has emboldened the concept of being all you can be.
So remember this: Our Independence we here celebrate
Is a visible, actual, certainty cause to elate.
Let us celebrate this day by openly showing our pride;
We’re Americans, first, last, and always, with nothing to hide!
