Celebrating Ash Wednesday, Feb. 22, St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, 27 S. Edgelawn Drive in Aurora, will debut a drive-through service along with two indoor services.
The public is invited.
For the first time, Pastor Patrick Fish and two assistants will impose ashes with a blessing to motorists in their vehicles during a drive through in the church parking lot from noon to1 p.m.
Indoor worship services will be held at 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. in the church sanctuary.
The indoor services will include hymns, a sermon, communion and the imposition of ashes.
The 7 p.m. service will be livestreamed and available on he church website.
